Memorial Day Cupcakes

It's a time to celebrate those who have given us the ultimate gift of freedom. Giving us all that they had to keep us a live and free.
I wanted to make something to honor them in cupcake form, so here it is.

Red, White and Blue cupcakes topped with white icing.

Cupcake Flavor: White Cake
Icing Flavor: Vanilla Butter cream

I made the batter, then sectioned it out by three. I of course kept some white and separated the batter to make red and blue using Wilton's food gel. I started off with Red, then White, and Blue layering them.

This is what it came out to look like.

I then topped the cupcakes with the butter cream icing and put a cute star on top. I think these came out pretty Patriotic.

Hope you enjoyed!

Happy 6th Birthday Hailey Bug!!

I finally got my camera back from my Niece's 6th Birthday party. I've been dieing to post my pictures for a very long week!

I made my 6yr old Niece rainbow cupcakes with; white cake mix and lots of fun food coloring. To top off the cupcakes I made a sweet buttercream.

Here are the steps I took to make these lovely Cupcakes!

1. Colors! Pick out the colors you want for your cupcakes. I only did four colors; Red, Orange, Blue, and Purple. When mixing the colors use the 2 to 3 ratios. Example if you are making Purple- 2 drops of Blue and 3 drops of Red.

2. Layering- With this pan I started with Red. Start your rainbow however you like, just dab a little of the batter into the cupcake liners.

3. Continue dabbing spoonfuls of batter into cupcake liners until all colors have been used.

4. Time to Bake- After using all of your colors, pop the cupcake pan into oven and cook for 18-20 minutes.

And they are done and ready to eat!

Somewhere over the Rainbow

So my niece is having her Birthday party this Sunday and I've been planning her cupcakes for over a month now.
And to be honest I can't wait any longer to share what I want to do.

I found a website that gave step by step on how to make rainbow cupcakes.

And it looks like a lot of fun to do!

Not only is the cupcake going to be rainbow, but so is the icing!! Oh, yeah you read right.... the icing RAINBOW!

Can't wait to post my pictures of my very own Rainbow cupcakes with Rainbow icing!

All You Need is Cupcakes

There are a few things a Cupcake girl needs to have.

And here they are:

Seriously, what a great invention for a cupcake baker! You want two flavor? Oh no problem, I'll just use my batter babies to give you one side of chocolate and one side peanut butter. Not only can you separate flavors, but you can separate colors, pink and blue, purple and green, etc it's up to you!

Yes Please!

I mean, if you have cupcake shoes you have to have a cupcake shirt!

Really, how can you pass this up?!

Too Cute and Sweet!

And of course in order to buy all this wonderful cupcake stuff you need to save your money with this!

Thin Mint Wonder

My Mother in Law was having a game night with some of her friends and wanted me to make some cupcakes. The only thing she asked was for them to be St. Patrick's Dayish.

I had seen this recipe before and had been dying to make it. I found a blog {realmomkitchen.com} that had this thin mint recipe on it and had to try it out and thought that my Mother in law would love it.

Yes that's a chocolate cupcake with green mint buttercream icing  topped with none other than crumbled thin mints and a little slice of a thin mint cookie.

All ready to bake!

Bird's eye view on the cupcakes.

Close up!

Hope you enjoyed!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love St. Patrick's Day and what better way to celebrate it, than with a Guinness Cupcake with cream cheese icing.

I don't think I need to say much about this picture..... :)

Guinness cupcake batter.

The great thing about this recipe is the left over Guinness.

Tried a new recipe for the cream cheese icing and I like it!

I think the cupcake says it all!!
